Take a Few Steps Now to Cut Holiday Stress and Pain

Three keys to enjoying the holidays more if you suffer from neuropathy and chronic pain.

It’s no secret; the holidays can be one of the most joyous, yet most stressful times of year. In fact, on the scale of stressful life activities, psychologists often times show Christmas as being near the very top.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

The reasons we experience holiday stress usually revolve around our perceptions and expectations regarding family and finances. There always seems to be at least one in the crowd who knows how to push our buttons. Part of enjoying the holidays more revolves around this fact, and understanding all of this going in.

From a health perspective, we too often tend to let go of normal healthy habits. This is the worst thing you can do during the holiday season.

In fact, why wait until New Year’s to begin fresh again?

Why not set new goals now, begin that exercise for weight control or pain reduction program today? That way, you’ll be more focused on your own self-care; the way it should be.

I guarantee, if you do this beginning today, you will eat more appropriately, continue to exercise, and take a second look at holiday spending.

And, as it turns out, these ARE three keys to enjoying the holidays more.

So this year, promise yourself to eat more appropriately and continue or begin a new exercise program.

And, as all good money managers do, reevaluate your holiday spending.

Put the focus back on sharing time with loved ones, without judgment.

As difficult as it may be, you’ll come out the other side far healthier, suffer a lot less physical pain (as well as neuropathy symptoms), and have far less holiday emotional distress.
